Tiny hats for baby leprechauns. Saw some pics on Pinterest and made up my own pattern. I just need to find baby leprechauns now! Where do I find them – is it at the end of the rainbow?
St Patrick’s is almost upon us and I was inspired to crochet some fun items.
I had a go at these baby shamrocks – FREE PATTERN – I may use these to decorate something later – any ideas would be appreciated – or I may make loads and join them into a garland. What do you think?
Saw this sweet bag on Pinterest. It had a free pattern too. Click here. Super easy pattern. You can either make the bag or turn it into a hat! 2 in 1 – a fab idea! I found some great wool that changes colour as it goes and made 3 bags. I filled them with cotton wool balls and gave 2 of them as gifts to my sons’ girlfriends and kept one for myself. I found some great bags of beads in the craft section of Asda and used them to decorate the ends of the cords.
Saw a picture of a pretty headband on Pinterest but no pattern :( so I decided to have a go myself. Approx 50 chains to start and about 12 rows alternating single and double crochets. I did the dcs in a lower loop rather than in the stitch. This left the rather nice ribbed stitch effect. Made up a 3 layer flower and stitched in place. – Pretty! Made with the same cherry red wool to match my fingerless gloves.
Today I finished my lovely bright red pair of fingerless gloves. Great free pattern I found on the web with easy cables. Am wearing them as I type as they are very cosy and pretty. Photo does not do them justice – they are a bright cherry red. No more cold hands. I will even be able to play my musical instruments whist wearing them which is a great bonus.
Today as usual I couldn’t find my memory pen. I needed something bigger attached to it. Saw a picture of a cute ladybird keyring on Pinterest so I designed one similar by looking carefully at the picture, fitted an old key-ring inside, stuffed it with a bit of polyester and hey presto! Now I can find it even in my Tardis of a handbag!
Valentine’s Day and hubby received a sweet mug cosy decorated with a bright red heart. It only took around an hour last night to make it – hiding it under the cushion everytime he entered the room! Never suspected a thing! He loved it.
